Now that Dan has his own place (20 steps away), there is no more junk food in the house. Without even really trying, I lost 14 pounds and Brian lost 9.
Of course it doesn't hurt that Megan is a health nut. We have no fat this and organic that in the fridge these days. And the fruit bowl is always full. So even if I'm craving something fattening, there's nothing in the house.
We have slowly been switching different foods. We no longer have real butter or half n half for our coffee. If it's not low fat, no fat, fat free, ick, ick, ick, it's not in our fridge.
We have been finding recipes in magazines like Cooking Light. Tonight we had Chicken Chili and Parmesan Corn Muffins. It was actually quite yummy!
I served dinner on these cute plates with matching bowls.
What's for dinner at your house tonight?
That really does look great - wish we had a health nut here to help us!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I could do it without someone pushing me!

The Chicken Chili and Parmesan Corn Muffins looks so good!! At the beginning of this year, I had some health issures and it changed my outlook on everything. I changed my eating habits...trying to eat only healthy stuff. However, I do sometimes treat myself...like on my birthday and our anniversary. I've lost about 28 lbs so far.
ReplyDeleteWe're having a salad and chicken tonight for dinner.

Cynthia, I hope your health issues have been resolved. 28 lbs so far! That is awesome. I would still like to drop another 15 or so. I treat (cheat) every so often too! I love chocolate, my downfall.

I always love to cook when there is a chill in the air!
